1-on-1 Premium Coaching
Write that book!
This is our most all-inclusive writing coach option. You will work with Ryan Acra, owner of The Get It Factory for two hours per week either in person or over the phone.
One weekly session is spent discussing outline, story structure, plot development, research, character development, etc. That session ends with you sharing any new or updated writing with Ryan.
The second weekly session starts with feedback on the new writing from the first session, along with goals and milestones for the following week.
We work on your time frame to make the process fun and rewarding. The process can go for as long as you need as long as the work continues.
Kids Write
Online writing program/contest for kids! Children ages 8-14 work one-on-one with The Get It Factory staff after school or online over email, Skype, or FaceTime, to learn the process of, and eventually write a book.
One child author will actually win a Young Writer’s Lab publishing contract! (upon parent’s approval)
Novel in 99 Days
This online community event helps authors clear away the clutter and finally write that book. Despite the title, this program will help writers who want to write novels, non-fiction, screenplays, or any other genre.
The workshop includes weekly webinars with experts in all aspects of the writing/publishing business to keep you motivated toward your end goals. There is also an exclusive online community where members can share ideas, stamp out excuses, and offer motivation.
After an initial interview, The Get It Factory will give you a structured plan with focused milestones that will lead you to your ultimate goal…a finished manuscript!
Each week your TGIF leader will:
– Set milestones and monitor progress
– Help with full outline of your project
– Discuss time management issues
– Work with you to build a self-tracking plan to keep up with your goals
– Make sure you’re relaxed and having fun writing a great book.

Frequently asked questions
There are a lot of workshops, classes, conferences, and experts out there. Each of them come with different prices, promises, and information. We haven’t checked on all of them, but from our research, some are good and some are bad.
The Get It Factory program is different from most in that we set up the workshop to add to our mission. We want to build a network of authors, artists, and creators to encourage a love of reading and a culture of joy! Our workshops help us get there while giving writers an opportunity to efficiently reach their goals.
Live lectures will take place twice a week. Members can tune in for either or both. They are scheduled for Tuesdays at 1:30 pm Mountain Time, and Thursdays at 7:30 pm Mountain Time.
While we work hard to cater to the needs of the group based on the community posts, our basic format includes question/answer, lectures, and action items.
You can read books, watch videos, take classes, or many other options to ‘learn’ how to navigate the book business. If you’ve tried any of these methods, or even just gone for it on your own, you’ve probably learned what many of us have…writing, publishing, and selling a book is hard.
We believe success is best found by following three pillars; setting goals, finding support, and staying accountable. That’s where our support comes in. We work with you on a weekly basis (over email, text, phone, or FaceTime) to check progress, set goals, and discuss roadblocks. Our support helps keep you working toward the goal and getting your project finished.
Sorry. We don’t guarantee a finished project. We will give you the tools and support, but we can’t make you write, promote, or complete any other action. If you’re not ready to give your project the time it needs, you probably shouldn’t enroll just yet.
This is really up to you. As you work with our team, we will learn more about your style and efficiency. Some of our members have been able to finish huge novels in less than 30 minutes every other day. Others have spent 2-4 hours per day on a children’s book.
We will discuss it in the program, but we suggest giving yourself 45-60 minutes 4-6 times a week to focus on your project. We can adjust from there as needed.
